Our Capabilities: Data & Communications

Everett Smith & Co which traditionally was an electrically focussed contracting company, has over the past nine years developed an Industry leading Data and Communications business. Utilising the high level of skill already within the company an up-skilling process was commenced, this up-skilling now means that we have a multi-functional work-force that are as proficient with Category 5, 6, and 7 as they are with Light and Power.

This ability to use "one" workforce on large projects equates to labour and time savings. Clients benefit from one point of contact and knowing that projects are not being sub-contracted to smaller company's that may not have the resources to perform.

Capabilities

The capabilities of our Data and Communications business are simple - we have not yet met a challenge that we have not been able to meet. We have proved time and time again that whether the issue is time, size, complexity or innovation we can be relied upon to commit and succeed.

Our impressive list of projects run from Government projects such as the Police Academy in Joondalup and the Government Shared Services project in Cannington to large scale commercial projects such as Hatch, Westpac and Woodside.

We have the skills and equipment in-house for termination and testing of all Categories of Data cabling, Multimode and Singlemode fibre, we have experience in Wireless networks and Laser links to transmit up to 1Gigabit. We have a sound back-ground in Telephone systems and can arrange PABX installation, Telstra Lead-in works and line connections.

Training

We have an active training program, whether it be re-certifying with a manufacturer, attending BICSI meetings or carrying out in-house training, we are aware of the ever changing Data industry and that to deliver the best outcomes to our clients we need to be able to provide informed advice that gives the best Value for money outcome.
